I had seen a good deal of IS33 pressure calibrators with a broken battery box and cover in a previous life and thought it’d be interesting to design a replacement battery cover. This is my first crack at 3D printing and was completely surprised that it only took 3 iterations to get functional.
It always irked me that the 3 ribs seemed to be on the wrong side to actually grip when sliding and the four little tabs were just too weak. There was no need to have a taper! Just keep a constant thickness for better strength. The channel for screws was an especially nice touch, no fancy shapes required.
3D printed designs that resulted in functional prototypes.
