“Teach Me How To Self Destruct” 2020

Probably my personal favourite painting, and pretty much the only one which hangs in my apartment. The story behind its creation isn’t positive as such as I created it while struggling with my own brain and downing a bottle of whisky, but the finished product is something I’m proud of. It marks the chapter where I started channelling those emotions onto canvas in a visual language surrounding mental health and abstract story telling.

I’ve always said that my art is my therapy, and will always encourage those who feel like it might help them to try painting/drawing or whatever outlet makes them feel alive. I use my practice to help me, but really I want it to help others.
