A so-called "notBanksyEchoes" collection went live on April 8th, 2022. With 1974 NFTs available for free mint, which echoes the birth year of Banksy according to Wikipedia. The free mint lowered the entry point of this NFT release and people will feel like it's a gamble that has nothing to lose. Since Banksy did have done this sort of surprises art sale in the past, people have more reasons to believe in this marketing strategy.

The collection name used "notBanksy" made it sounds like a Banksy thing to do, making a fine irony. Also, it referenced Banksy's 2013 graffiti work "What We Do In Life Echoes In Eternity", created in Queens, New York, US. However, rephrased it into "What we do in life echoes in Ethernity." Ethereum for Eternity.

This collection is the first phase of release. It tricks people into thinking Banksy is going to enter the NFT space with a stealth launch and there could be more, it could be less likely a one-time cash grab gig by some random impersonator. Sending the message of advocating peace, making a calling that echoes the current international situation.
