This airbrush painting of the gargoyle breaking out of it's stone prison and coming to life is still one of my all-time favorites. It was used as the box cover for the NES version of the game released in 1989. The name comes from the setting for the game...Castle Shadowgate, residence of the evil Warlock Lord.
