After a challenging hike, this spot more than eased the sore legs. About 10 miles and 4,300 ft of elevation gain to reach camp.
29 Rolls is a collection of film photography covering some of Washington's most coveted hikes. From the towering peaks and shimmering blue lakes of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness to the rugged evergreen coast of Olympic National Park, nothing quite compares to the natural wonders found only in the backcountry. This unique collection covers 85 miles of trails, hiked mainly alone with the exception of a few friendly mountain goats.
Film photography and the backcountry work together in perfect harmony. There's no constant screen checking to make sure you got the "perfect shot"; just taking in the moment of being in nature and reliving that moment over again when the film comes back from the lab a few weeks later. Each 1/1 photo in this collection captures the raw beauty of 35mm film and nature.
All images were shot on Kodak ColorPlus 200 and Kodak Ultramax 400 with a Canon Rebel G and Canon 24-105 lens.
