This is the same tree that from the other image in the collection, The Lone Warrior. However, this time the deer is not alone. This image was taken some time later in the morning, and the deer was joined by a Black-necked Stork sitting atop the tree, and some geese flying above. The sudden activity all around completely changed the whole scene, and I made this frame just to show how the same setting can change in a matter of minutes.

This photograph is from my "Magic Hour" series. Magic hour is the period of time between sunset and daybreak when warm hues of gold, pink, and blue are visible. The collection features photographs taken during the "golden hour" in Keoladeo Ghana National Park in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, a wetland wonder and one of the largest bird sanctuaries. As a result, the collection is also an ode to Bharatpur, a place I've visited every year for the past ten years.
