The landscape in some parts of Bharatpur are stunning during the foggy winter mornings. These winter visitors, the pelicans, frequent the waters during the magic hour as they feed in flocks. This lone pelican seemed to enjoy the solitude as I sat near the water enjoying the cold and the view. One of the joys of being in a place like this is the time one gets for self reflection.

This photograph is from my "Magic Hour" series. Magic hour is the period of time between sunset and daybreak when warm hues of gold, pink, and blue are visible. The collection features photographs taken during the "golden hour" in Keoladeo Ghana National Park in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, a wetland wonder and one of the largest bird sanctuaries. As a result, the collection is also an ode to Bharatpur, a place I've visited every year for the past ten years.
