We chanced upon this small pond at the end of one of the trails. As the sun started to rise, the fog and the mist on the water made the scene quite spectacular. While most were making images with the sun behind them, we walked across to the other side of the pond to make these backlit images of these coots. Sometimes it helps to look at things from a different perspective!

This photograph is from my "Magic Hour" series. Magic hour is the period of time between sunset and daybreak when warm hues of gold, pink, and blue are visible. The collection features photographs taken during the "golden hour" in Keoladeo Ghana National Park in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, a wetland wonder and one of the largest bird sanctuaries. As a result, the collection is also an ode to Bharatpur, a place I've visited every year for the past ten years.
