Bharatpur's winter mornings are particularly beautiful, especially when the mist and fog are present. A vast section of the swamp has simply this lovely tree in the centre. We discovered this animal standing just under this tree one early morning. The setting was extremely beautiful with the fog all around and the beautiful morning light. Standing upright, the deer appeared to be a lone warrior.

This photograph is from my "Magic Hour" series. Magic hour is the period of time between sunset and daybreak when warm hues of gold, pink, and blue are visible. The collection features photographs taken during the "golden hour" in Keoladeo Ghana National Park in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, a wetland wonder and one of the largest bird sanctuaries. As a result, the collection is also an ode to Bharatpur, a place I've visited every year for the past ten years.
