Location: El Chalten, Argentina

Some may refer to it as luck, while others may refer to it as planning. It'd be referred to as both. I'd been planning this trip to Patagonia for a few months, and as I got closer, I noticed the moon was getting bigger and bigger by the day. I looked at the calendar and realized that the full moon would be exactly when I'd be in El Chalten, the location of one of the world's most legendary mountain ranges. The first three days were spent scouting locations to see where I could "place" the moon in the most epic way. I drove around everywhere with my "PhotoPills" app, which assisted me in calculating where and when the moon would be visible. I found a spot just off the road where all the signs indicated that the moonset would perfectly align between Cerro Torre and Egger, two of the most beautiful and pointy mountains in the area. When it happened, I couldn't believe it. One of the most lovely moments I've ever witnessed.
