The Jubilee Pool in Penzance is a place I've revisited multiple times. It's beautiful empty, beautiful filled, beautiful in winter, and beautiful when the sun shimmers off the rippled salt water. It is the UK's largest seawater pool, and the UK's only lido heated with geothermal energy, with a capacity for 600 swimmers during normal operation. The art deco masterpiece was built in 1935, and designed by Captain Frank Latham.

And, in true seaside style, its design was influenced by the shape of a seagull in flight. _

This image comes from the project, Don't Push Me 'Cause I'm Close to the Edge, documenting happenstance encounters in and around the British coast. The project began in earnest during the COVID-19 pandemic, when travel was off limits.

This curated collection is capped at 100 pieces, released over time, at which point, it will be made into a photo book. This image is part of the first "drop" that includes images taken during the 2020–21 pandemic itself.
