Rewind the clock by 50 years - the United States Navy DC plane ran out of fuel and started to descend rapidly. It was this moment that time stood still for everyone inside that aircraft. A crash was impending and inevitable.
Fast forward to 2019, the unsalvaged remains of the aircraft still exist at the heart of Iceland's massive black sand beach. The wings half broken, the windows damaged from carrying the tales for the past five decades. There was no casualty at the scene as the entire crew was rescued - but the wreckage of the plane was left behind - and in this tiny part of otherwise happening beach, time indeed took a pause.
