I love the western coast of Turkiye. My first photo trip out of town after the pandemic and long lockdown period was to Cunda Island on this coast. Having missed the sea and all the beautiful moments of the dawn and sunrise, I headed towards the harbor to witness the sun come up and the world waking up to a beautiful day.

I love dawn and sunrise. I feel the silence and calm of the moment, and then love to watch the nature waking up to a new day with birds flying, the tide slowly changing, the colors transforming from blues into pinks.

As the dawn breaks and paints the sky in pink, a new day begins. Fishermen are headed silently towards their boats and a flock of seagulls fills the sky. Seagulls fly and sometimes stay still in the sky as if they are performing a dancing ceremony to welcome the new day. The cool and soft wind is refreshing. In a short while, the lights will go off and the fishermen will be headed to the sea and the roaring engines of the boats will break the silence.
