I took this photo on one of my trips to the Greek island Chios. I travelled up to the northwest side of the island, to the village Volissos, also claimed to be the birthplace of Homeros. The western coast of the island has beautiful views of the Aegean Sea.

The place I took this photo from was overlooking the coast and the sea. On the western side of the island sunsets are breathtaking as the sea carries you all the way to the endless horizon with no interruptions, giving you a feeling of infinity.

I wanted to photograph this eternal beauty and the incredible pinkish orange color of the sunset. I always love the dreamy, magical effect long exposures can add to my photographs. Soft, pastel pink and orange tones and a smooth, silky sea effect form a serene and minimalist beauty, always lending me a calm, peaceful feeling and I always love to reflect that feeling to my photographs and display the beauty to the viewers.
