A bit closer to home is the beautiful coastal town of Tofino, BC. My wife and I try to come out here at least every few months for a day trip. It's our little vacation destination away from home. One Winter day, we had some beautiful conditions during sunset and blue hour. I don't tend to shoot blue hour very often since I prefer to use a tripod so that I don't have to bump up my ISO too much for handheld shots. But while we were walking back from the hike where we caught sunset that evening, I couldn't help but be blown away by the beautiful twilight conditions that surrounded us. With my wife walking a bit farther away from me and closer to the water, I decided to take some landscape photos using her for scale. I felt that her presence in this image really helped to tell a story. I just loved the dreamlike atmosphere of this image, so I tried to emphasize and enhance that feeling in post. This is definitely one of my favorite images that I have ever captured at twilight.
