This tiny yet colourful pigmy seahorse is a master of camouflage. They can grow only up to a couple of centimetres in size and live in these sea fans their entire life. Their camouflage is so good that it took more than five minutes for me to recognise it even after my dive buddy was pointing at one. It was also the first time I saw one in the wild. And now, they are my favourite macro subjects to photograph.

Queen of Anilao is an image very close to my heart. It is that one image which gave me recognition as a photographer. The image was exhibited in multiple conferences and also won different photography awards. (First price in Blue India Underwater Imagery Competition 2019 and Planet Untamed Nature Photographer of the year 2020)

While coming back from my first trip to Anilao, I never thought this was my best shot. Something is hidden in this photo that I am not able to see, but everyone else loves.
