The Luxor Obelisk, which is an obelisk originally from the Temple of Amun in Luxor, Egypt, erected since 1836 in the center of the Place de la Concorde in Paris. The Luxor obelisk was classified as a historical monument in 1937. Considering its manufacture which goes back to the ancient Egyptian civilization, it is the oldest monument of Paris, before the foundation of the capital.
