PAC CATの作品は全て、「不自由の中の自由」のモチーフとしてCATの表現を一貫してきています。コロナ禍における生活の構図のオマージュとして、時代性、社会性を持たせた作品を発表してきました。 現在はその表現から派生し、 選択するという事を自己拘束と解釈し、拘束≒法則と紐付けた着想を得ました。 抽象的なものを含み、万物が形を成し生存するためには法則が必須であり、 その「法則に拘束される」という式を、重なり組み合わさるパズルのように作品に落とし込んでいます。 物理的に限ったものでは無いので、可視化したり不可視であったりする表現をしています。 こちらの作品は、制作活動のきっかけともなったパンデミック発生時に制作した作品と、それからおよそ1年後を節目に現在の社会や生活を比較し、「過去からの変化」と紐付けて過去作をマッシュアップした作品とを交互に見せています。 For all of PAC CAT’s pieces, CATs have been used as a motif for “Freedom within inconvenience”. These works were a tribute to the composition of life during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a historical and social dimension. Now, derived from that expression, I interpreted choice as self-restraint, and ​​linked the idea that constraint ≒ law. Laws are essential for all things to form and survive, including abstract ones, and the expression of "being bound by one’s law" is incorporated into current works like a puzzle that overlaps and combines. Since it is not physically limited, this is expressed in both visible and invisible states. The artist alternates between a work made at the time of the outbreak of the pandemic, and a work made one year later, comparing current society and life, and linking them to "changes from the past".
