The Edo period painting genius Hokusai created many shunga during his long career. None is more famous than “Tako to Ama”. In the west it is commonly (but somewhat faulty) titled “the Dream of the Fisherman’s wife”.
In this homage to Hokusai’s famous print, Senju also pays respect to other artists that has strongly influenced his work over the past eight years.
