The ancient scroll spoke of a time where the desert had been a flourishing rainforest, nourished by the sap of a tree that stood miles high and was not of this world. It told of this tree’s destruction by humanity’s greed and competition and a jungle that was withering into a barren wasteland. Around the remains were golden pools of sap that kept a small oasis flourishing even in the harshest conditions. The water from here was said to possess unique properties. The liquid was said to nourish the soul and give a person access to the unseen facets of reality. Around a withering tree all of this existed and perhaps…it still did. It was impossible to say how long ago this was, but Abrihm had read enough to know this was history rather than fiction. Within his imagination sparks flew, what knowledge could be achieved by drinking from these wells… what… what if he made ink from this sap…or paper from this bark…
