A fractal flower.

I used a 2D program called Apophysis often between '05 and '15 to create organic looking effects for my 3D renders. I was also able to create interesting, almost living abstracts that were unlike anything I could do with just polygons (see "Riven", "Episteme", and "Genesis" among others). As technology progressed over the years and by 2016 I'd moved onto 3D fractals ("Mandelbulbs") and it seemed like Apophysis was never going to be updated again.

I did always catch glimpses around the web of these amazing fractal flowers that were created with Apophysis. I attempted a few myself with mediocre results but in 2019 I set myself down, determined to make my own fractal bloom, and this was the result. My fans loved it and I was proud of my effort too. I've stuck solely with 3D ever since and this was the last 2D render I've attempted as of this writing but I think it turned out pretty cool.
