Every time I see the northern lights I come full circle, as it all started here. Under the night sky, amongst the glittering stars and horizon of green, I was and still am to this day, a dreamer.

On an early August night, the sky opened up and erupted in a technicolor explosion of light. Hues of purple and green rained down from the heavens as I sat on the shores of my hometown lake.

How do you describe a moment like this? Alone in the darkness, in natures amphitheatre? From dusk till dawn, I couldn't tear myself away. A rare gift, and an experience that renders you breathless. I screamed with joy, I cried, I danced and then I sat and watched in beautiful silence. Eight hours later, I walked myself home to bed knowing that what I had just encountered was nothing short of magic.

Moments like these are why I picked up my camera. Moments like these are what drives me to create. I live and breathe and chase moments that make me feel alive.
