this photo was shot on the island in acadia national park @4:45 a.m. early in the summer solstice across the cove you'll notice sandy beach a popular place in the park

setting up my tri-pod on the edge of one of the rock cliffs to capture this moment was exhilarating thoughts were running wild stoked i had made it in time for the show scared about my tri-pod falling (it didn't happen thankfully) me and my camera lived to tell the story of probably the best dawn i have ever experienced on the island

being from the northeast (born and raised), the ocean is a special place to me the coastline is somewhere i can always find peace and solitude hopefully through this image it can do the same for you
