For a year and a half I took photos on my iPhone 11 Pro Max because that was all I had after selling my second camera ever. I forced myself to use that because at the time I thought I needed to have top tier camera gear to create dope photos. I realized I was as wrong as I had ever been. This photo was when I found an interest in the streets and architecture it held. This photo was also the kick I needed to help me realize that it isn't the gear we use that makes our creations great. It's us. It is our eye, our background, our drive to take a photo that makes us smile. Our struggles, triumphs, and nostalgia that motivates us to make art. Our gear and tools can cost $5, $200, or $10,000. But if we don't, first, have the motivation or passion to create what WE want - it doesn't matter how high-end our gear is. Believe in yourself before placing all your energy into a piece of metal, plastic, or glass. Do that and you'll always win. Because art always starts with one thing......you.
