This spot is one of the most iconic places to visit in the Teton Range. The Moulton Barns have been photographed more times in history than most structures. These barns are part of the famous “Mormon Row” located in front of the mighty Tetons.
Typically photographed at sunrise when the peaks are illuminated by the sun, this shot of the mountains however, was taken at sunset. Having the sun set behind the mountains creates deep shadows on the range contrasted against the bright and saturated sky. I set up my tripod and watched as the sun slowly hid behind the mountains. I tested multiple exposures and made sure the shots were perfect. I stood there until the light disappeared, taking in my favorite view in the world for a few more moments.
