We tend to people watch naturally. Glance at a few people while walking down the street or shift our sight towards a noise we may have heard. But few truly observe their surroundings in life. I get lost in observation. A lot. I don't just glance at people, I observe them. I briefly study body language, facial expressions, style, and more. I often wonder what each person is doing. Where they are off to. Or where they are coming from. We get caught up in our own lives, but I am constantly aware of the fact that everyone around me are living their own, separate lives as well. Dealing with their own struggles and celebrating their own accomplishments. Some make those moments visible, while most put on a public mask to prevent any kind of vulnerability from being detected. That's intriguing to me. This moment was intriguing to me. Because for a second, the subject and I were observing at the same time.
