The beautiful north coast of Scotland. A coastal photographer's heaven!!! This beautiful beach is near the small village of Durness in the county of Sutherland. In this area there are so many beautiful beaches to visit. On this occasion I had visited the area in the depths of winter. The mountains inland were snow covered and dramatic weather fronts were constantly moving in. On reaching this location I was drawn to this stunning pyramidal rock, I knew it would be the focal point for a few images. It was then a case of waiting for a nice combination of waves and reflective light on the sands. Luckily for me there was also some nice subtle light on Whiten Head in the distance. A beautiful memory of one of my favourite photography trips ever.
