Every city & small town in India has a mysterious place to call its own. There is a temple, Padmanabhaswamy Temple, located in Thiruvananthapuram(Kerala) that is the mother of all supernatural sites with a mystery-ridden chamber in the underbelly of the temple. The Temple has references in many Epics & Puranas.

Padmatheertham, the temple pond holds in its depths many interesting titbits of history related to the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple & the royal family of erstwhile Travancore. The tank has a small vault where some sâlagramams brought for the creation of Padmanabhaswamy’s idol & water collected from the sacred rivers all over is still stored.

The legends of the Temple are handed down through the centuries. The titular Maharaja of Travancore, Moolam Thirunal Rama Varma, is the trustee of the temple.
