The Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva that nestles at the foothills of the Himalayas is one of the holiest sites of Hinduism. It's Situated in Rudraprayag district(Uttarakhand, India). This holy pilgrimage positioned at an altitude of 3586 meters near the gorgeous river Mandakini is filled with spectacular aura, snow clad mountains & breathtaking landscape. The trek is a holy & memorable experience.
Situated in a region of Glacial activity, the temple is said to have been under snow for 400 years. The temple was miraculously saved by a BhimShila(massive boulder) that rolled down the mountains during the horrific cloudburst & natural calamity in June 2013. It is said Baba Bhairo Nath saves the temple. Due to treacherous weather in the region, the temple opens to devotees only between the months of April to November each year.
This artwork represents, the new pathway to Kedar Baba temple after 2013 flood on right & the old pathway with the barren houses on left.
