Stepping inside a glacier for the first time was simultaneously breathtaking and terrifying. The size and power of the glacier suddenly becomes much more personal when you’re underneath it, fate firmly in Mother Nature’s hands! I’ll never forget reaching out and touching the ancient ice walls, formed over ten thousand years ago. They were as smooth as glass, sculpted by flowing water, and ten times more beautiful. My goal with this image was to capture the awe and insignificance I felt while inside the cave.

*For safety and logistical reasons, this trip will only be done in the fall/spring. Flight requires good weather. Due to the ever changing nature of glaciers, we may visit a different cave than pictured. Each cave is like a snowflake - unique and never the same as the last!
