I took this photograph in Varanasi, India, around 1970, during my travels after my tour in Vietnam.

India was one of my favorite stops along my journey. This photograph is of the ghats (riverfront steps) leading to the Ganges River. As a non-Hindu, I could not go to that side of the river; this photo was taken from the opposite side.
