Rodney Ripps (b.1950) and Andy Warhol (b.1928) were peers working in New York at the same time and showing their artwork with the same galleries. In 1980 they traded works with each other; a 40x40in silkscreen on canvas portrait embellished with diamond dust Warhol was created for Ripps. This NFT represents that work, enforcing the tenets of pop-art and appropriation in the age of blockchain. It is being minted by Ryder Ripps, Rodney's son as a continuation of the works' life and meaning.
