Mother Nature paints a colourful canvas in the Canadian Rockies every year as summer transitions into fall.
Although the autumn season is brief, it is the most memorable, as the vibrance and richness of these landscapes take on an otherworldly glow with the rise of the morning sun.
In this particular region, water flows, mixes and merges with land, creating a unique and colourful scene abundant with a multitude of compositions from the ground. But to take to the skies is where the true depth of beauty is revealed.
Having slept on the shores the night before, I set flight as a beam of light caught a break in the sky mostly scattered with clouds. I could barely comprehend this magical world as it came to life before my very eyes.
I created this aerial image by capturing several photographs and stitching them together in a vertical panorama. It quickly became my greatest prize capture of the trip and my favourite image from the entire fall season in 2021.
