Storr Moon Rise is a seamless looping timelapse that was taken over an evening at the Old Man of Storr on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. This was captured to coincide with the moon rise at 9.30pm.
The single, 55m high pinnacle (one on the left) comprises of the remains of an ancient volcanic plug. Legend has it that the giant (the Old Man of Storr) after his death and burial his thumb remained partially above ground.
I trekked up to and wild camped overnight at the Old Man of Storr to allow the creation of this timelapse on a cold, clear chilly night 30th October 2018. For the lunar nerds the moon was in the Waning Gibbous Phase, this is the first phase after the Full Moon.
