Artist note: "First I make a brush. It can be made with human hair, feathers of birds living in my studio or as in this piece of GOAT’s beard that I collected myself. Then I prepare the Sum ink, using traditional Chinese ink sticks. Fresh ink preparation is meditating. It brings me to a balanced mindset. Once I am in balance, I make my first stroke. Not to forget, the paper, which is as carefully chosen, in this case I chose cotton paper over rice or bamboo paper. Each of my handmade brushes are used to make only one unique work. Both, the paper and the brush are framed in a handmade fine wooden box with museum grade glass. The collector retains the physical copy of the piece." Sandra
