The Elephant's Trunk nebula is a dark nebula located in the constellation Cepheus about 2,400 light years from earth. It is a site of star formation, containing several young stars which when born, push away the surrounding nebula and create bubbles of clear space. Captured with an 11 inch telescope with Narrowband filters from the Negev desert.
