Within my street photography work, I prioritise the composition of the image by eliminating as many distractions from the frame as possible. Creating a minimalistic style of street photography; utilising shapes, colour, light & shadow and the inhabitants of the cities I visit going about their every day lives.
Taking a spot meter reading from the brightest part of this scene enabled me to cut the frame in half diagonally with the shadow cast by the bridge above. This also gives the impression the subject is walking into a deep void of no return.
