This is my 3rd year of creating charity paintings for Veterans Day. This one is titled 'Legislating Love, Not War.' The first two years have been a success, raising money for the Fisher Foundation and K9s for Warriors. This year, this charity painting will be a FREE open edition. All I ask is that you donate to any charity that supports veterans or share this painting if you're financially unable. I want anyone who supports our brave veterans to have this one.
The reason why I painted 'Legislating Love, Not War' is because I graduated from high school in 2001. The following year, 9/11 happened, and I had friends shipped off to war. They spilled blood, and some made the ultimate sacrifice for this great country. I wanted to portray that our veterans feel alone in this painting because of the politicians. I wanted to express to these bureaucrats that they need to stop enriching themselves with lobby money and kickbacks from the military-industrial complex. Stop sending our kids to meaningless wars for your pockets. Imagine if politicians were required to send their own children off to wars abroad...
