My name is Alex aka Boys Noize, DJ & producer from Berlin, Germany. I started to DJ in clubs when I was 16. As a teenager I was working in a house and techno record store, so when I started to make my own music I decided to create my own label to be 100% independent. The music was released through limited presses of vinyl - it was music for DJs only. You were only able to find the music in a select network of house & techno record stores around the world.

After the first few releases, well known DJs started to play my tracks in their sets, and I suddenly was getting booked both as DJ and to remix the likes of Depeche Mode and Daft Punk (!!). Out of the 100 remixes I’ve done there were indeed some hits, and these propelled me to big stages like Coachella and Glastonbury and studio sessions with A$AP Rocky, Bon Iver, Frank Ocean and Lady Gaga.  It still feels surreal to think about where it all started.

This brings me to my release today. “Cwejman“ is a classic Boys Noize banger - unreleased until now - and it’s a big one in my current DJ sets. The name "Cwejman" comes from one of my modules in my modular system that I've used to create the main sound of this track.

Bringing limited editions to the digital age gives me the same vibes I had in my early days when I spent all my money on limited vinyl presses. Every DJ knows the feeling of dropping something rare in their sets, something that few others have. Offering DJs that feeling again while supporting artists is the magic of Sound.xyz
