Fingerisation is a project that highlights finger gesturing and their meanings in pop culture. In cultures and subcultures identity is important. And one of the ways of identifying a group of people is through the gesturing of their fingers. Gesturing can help people form clearer thoughts, speak in tighter sentences and use more declarative language. It is important to note that while a lot of our finger gesticulations have come to be universal, using them can have different meanings to different people.
