Drogedy by Josh Dykgraaf
Created from images shot in the southern Grampians, Victoria, Australia in April 2019, this piece is created in the form of one of my favorite Australian animals - a wombat. The piece comprises some 1,500 layers developed over an image I shot of a wombat nearby.
The name Drogedy comes from a creation story in indigenous Australia mythology - the first wombat who was a mischievous creature who was buried by people he tricked, and so he learned how to burrow and live underground.
