Happy New Year! I'll admit, the latter part of 2022 kicked my butt in a multitude of ways, and I had to take a break (reset). I paused minting the One Photo a Day series in order to re-align with myself, my values, and what I want to accomplish in 2023 (my first year in my 30s).

I've discovered that while I still have a passion for photography, I want to grow my skillset into many different avenues. The past few months, I've been enamored with the advancements of AI, and immersed in the possibilities of the metaverse. In this new year, I plan on delving further into both of these rabbitholes, as it's where my heart is pulling me.

That being said, I still consider photography a core gift and skillset that's been important to my development as an artist, and I just can't seem to stay away from it. I plan to continue this series at least until I hit Day 365.

Since I missed 36 days of minting photos, I figured 36 35mm film photos (i.e., a roll of film) from my early days of learning photography in Alaska would fill that gap perfectly. This set of images aren't all from the same roll, but to me, they mark a turning point in my journey of learning photography.

Enjoy!
