My first time in Tahiti also was my first time photographing with whales. From the leaky first dunks in the water with the AquaTech housing with the camera, to the ruined drone, short fins that were too big, leaking masks, sunburnt armpits, stolen cameras, etc... this was not a luxury or easy trip.

But it was one of growth and serenity. I have always been terrified of the ocean and currents. I used to have night terrors of sharks and monsters deep in the ocean blues. But when Kori reached out to me and offered me this chance to photograph one of the largest mammals in the world, I had to say YES.

This young whale was very curious, so when its mother rested deep below, it would pop up around us, taking breaths every 5 mins.

Rachel's Imaginarium collection image

Life is fleeting, yet it is filled with a countless amount of moments.

At times, we lose sight of the big picture, and other times we focus too much on the future and past instead of the present.

Abstracts is an ongoing collection that reflect my struggles to be mindful and present. All primary collectors of this collection will be airdropped a unique 1/1 that I will create on a future trip within 12 months of purchase.
