"Trial Error" is one of a series of looped GIF animations I have made based on an ongoing series of 3d models I have titled "Unreasonable Proposals". These 3d models take the form of impractical and often intentionally unbuildable imaginary monuments inspired by my training and work in the field of architecture. The basic form of Trial Error is a hexagon with 4 parallel sides and two right angle corners. This hexagonal polygon form is something that I rework endlessly in my sketches, screen prints, and digital models. I am drawn to the perfect, endless looping of an animated GIF as the best way to illustrate the intensity of the spell a designer can fall into while searching for a specific form, viewed from a specific angle, for the best, perfect desired effect. "Trial Error" exists in many color variations- this one is one the more subdued options.
