There are days in my job as a detective that I regret. Today was undoubtedly the worst of the worst. I've been leading the investigation into a cult that worships some entity called - "Mekhane". I'd say this 'deity' is apparently an urban legend called the lord of machines. This is the most extreme cult I've seen. All the evidence tells me this is another one of those crazy cults obsessed with 'ascension and transcending the limits of the human body'. The bunker itself made me want to puke. The body in the chemical tube was as horrifying as it was fascinating. The skin was decaying and being actively replaced by metal. Who's to say we don't have these, robot-human pieces if metallic crap aren't walking among us? What do those preservation cryogenic pods hold within them? There's a million questions that I have no answer for, but the fact that we've not only prevented but captured one this specimen for study, gives me a glimmer of hope. Over.
