The two young gods stood facing each other, their eyes locked, waiting for the other to make the first move. One was Cygni, a creator of stars, a being of incredible beauty and brilliant power. The other was Xygnus, born in a black hole, who held an immense aura able to consume all light.

As they fought, the universe shook, and neither could overcome the other. Why were they fighting? It was simple; both wanted the title of 'The First Sword'. An honour which gave one the power to start a new universe. The only way to achieve this was by capturing the other's essence into their blade. It was the evolution of a young god into a true creator.

Eventually, as both tired, the gods had to come to a reluctant agreement. As much as their arrogance didn't allow for it, even gods had their limit. A shared universe was better than nothing, and both were far too injured to fight again. Splitting their essence, the 'Ending Blade' was formed. A sword brighter than a giant star and holding more power than a massive black hole. Together they swung the blade, which set into motion the beginning of a new universe, one bound by the cycle of life and death.

As they went their separate ways, weak and tired but having achieved their godhood, the new blade remained behind as the first sword of a new universe. To this day, the blade remains, now in the hands of another, and a symbol of Xygnus and Cygni's compromise.
