BREAK THE BARS An Award-Winning Spinema Film Spin-eh-ma (spoken word cinema)

Directed and Produced by the creator of Spinema David Bianchi. Co-Written and Starring David Bianchi and Chris Wood.

'Break The Bars' is a spoken word Spinema film that focuses on the challenges and stark realities inner-city youth face being raised in neighborhoods with barred windows and fenced environments. The film's call to action is simple; we must all work together to create healthier environments for our generations to come.

:: What is Spinema ::

Spinema is an art form created by and trademarked by David Bianchi through his 1almost two decades of producing experimental films told in poetry. Since the inception of this work in 2004, he has refined the technique to mastery.

It uses all the languages of cinema (picture, light, and sound) while evoking elements of sometimes subtle, sometimes visceral performances through the rhythmic deliveries. Spinema requires a specific kind of on-camera-poetic-talent that can affect the nuances of the language while being modest to the subtle nature of cinema.

There are no limits to how these important stories can be told in the metaverse. The metaverse opens up the deepest possible interaction with audience members like never before. David's goal is to change the world through poetic cinema and the blockchain is the delivery.

:: POETRY::

Sara’s ten-year-old eyes base their reality on the view of the neighborhood through the Bars on her window. The bars on her window Like the bars on her father’s window, Only his are surrounded by concrete. And it’s been never since their eyes did meet. So she walks the neighborhood with her friends and she has to be careful of the 15 year old Tony, who always tries to get her to come behind the liquor store, cause he’s got something to show her.

But she knows never to go beyond the bars of the fence with him. Her ten-year-old eyes base their reality on the view of the neighborhood through the Bars on her window. But her mind soars beyond the clouds, into the universe of manifestation, Break the bars, A land where she can sing like Lauryn Hill Break the bars, A land where the cupboards are always full, Break the bars, A land where the pop-pops in the street are only fireworks, Break the bars, Because her mind bends those bars. Cause there exists a place where she can play in the street A place where 15-year-old Tony only wants to hold her hand, A place where her father can hug her Break the bars.

A luminescent place of non-subjective but factual actual palpable beauty that rings songs of rock-a-bye-baby and rubber ducky— With unconditional loves and licks and a soft kiss from a cocker spaniel puppy, Where fields flow far and dandy lions meet the horizon in a matrimony made in heaven- Where the only steel that exists isn’t a tool a gat or any form of a weapon— It comes in the form of a hoe— It comes in the form of a rake— It comes in the form of an oven pan where Mom and Dad make shake ‘n’ bake— And the only crack she sees is in the sidewalk chalk that talks in the yellows blues, And warm attitudes, Faithful scents of crunchy peanut butter and jelly afternoons— Tomato soup spoons, And…Saturday morning cartoons, And big kites that take flight and bathe in the warm sunlight and the soft moon to kiss her face goodnight that night- And the only Tony that Sara knows Is a tiger.

So Break the bars! The I can’t cross the street cause of too many fast cars! Break the bars! Where children play on concrete cause urban sprawl covered the grass with tar! Break the bars! Where crack-cocaine conquers and eventually leaves Sara scarred- Break the what? Break the bars! Where my kids are addicted to fast food clogging their arteries with lard! Where alcoholism affects children and domestic abuse cuts like glass shards! Where humans have no empathy only sympathy and call the mentally challenged retards! And lack of educational funding leaves a generation permanently marred! Where she’ll twist ‘em invade the system and feed four kids with a welfare card! Where my front door-back door and all my windows are permanently barred! Where our jail-like communities enclose our bodies and leave our minds jarred! Where the back alley dumpster is our children’s play yard! Where our offspring’s too-tough-cock-guns-pop-ones just to be hard! And the life-cycle’s reciprocals won’t get them far… Around bars Aside bars Behind bars Break the Bars!

Her ten-year-old eyes base their reality On the view of the neighborhood Through the bars on her window Where fields flow far and dandy lions meet the horizon In a matrimony made in heaven Where the only steel that exists isn’t a tool or a gat Or any form of a weapon!

Around bars Aside bars Behind bars Break the bars!
