In late 2016 I've been asked to hold a speech at a digital design event in Milan. I was shocked by the request and didn't know what to talk about. The organizer told me to talk about my path, so I started digging. The speech turned out to be succesful, and in early 2017 I condensed its whole meaning into this artwork. I didn't want to share it at first, thinking the underlying message was too strong and the audience wouldn't have liked it. I was wrong. The day after I posted it on Instagram (January 13 2017) it went viral and, in a few months, I lost control over it: it became a meme and it traveled the web. This artwork I did't wanna share defined my art once and for all. A community of nonconformists gathered around my work, allowing me to freely express myself as an artist. What's behind it? Simply my vision. I always thought we're forced to believe there's no alternative to the system we live in. But you know what? Life is way, way greater than the system, no matter how "advanced" or "science-driven" it is: it remains pointless and so miserable. The final goal of every path is unavoidable, but the way we reach it is entirely in our hands. So far, this artwork is the one I'm most attached to. By owning it you're owning a piece of my soul.
