Post-battle, these bit-crushed-beat-worshiping-bass-brothers survey the area for remaining goons. Their plans for the rest of the day? Hop back in the lightning blue 2001 Ford Focus and hit the streets, blasting the crunchiest sine waves north of the border.
Peter France, Creator | Growing up as a child of YouTube, the early days of Corridor Digital had a huge influence on my filmmaking interests and visual style. Dubstep Guns (2011) was particularly inspiring as it synthesized the music video, action, and digital art genres into a single work. I wanted to pay homage to this gem, and contribute an additional moment to the canon of the Dubstep Guns Cinematic Universe.
About This Piece | This work was primarily put together in Blender 3D, along with the 3D scans of Sam and Niko being created in RealityCapture. Peter knew sound design was going to be important given the concept, so he composed a small piece of music in Logic Pro. He decided on using bassy triplets for the underlying beat, and layered dubstep lead synths for the blasts. He then peppered in some laser sound FX and other synthesizers to round things out, and rendered to perfection.
