I painted this out of nostalgia for when I was just a teen and used to constantly paint sunsets with oils on small canvas. At the time I didn't have patience to wait for the paint dry, and I'd work on several painting at the same time just like I do now with digital art.

I've improved a lot since then, but those paintings are still very dear to me, somehow sunset paintings never look wrong, no matter how one choose to paint them or skill level. Each one has it's own magical charm and beauty just like the sunsets in real life.

This painting is about looking back and appreciating all of the years I spent painting and many years of practice. I'm happy and fortunate I get to do what I love. Moreover, I love sharing the beauty of nature in paintings, and I feel that it's more important now than ever.
